Both are good movies. But, I laughed my ass off in Blazing Saddles and mostly just chuckled a lot during Young Frankenstein.
Nowadays you couldn't come out with Blazing Saddles. The PC crowd wouldn't get the satire on race relations.
its twue! its twue! They could probably never be able to release another Movie quite like "Blazing Saddles" They would probably be hard pressed to find actors willing to play those roles, at least Mel Brooks spared nobody, everything and everybody was fair game to poke some fun at...
Blazing Saddles, no question.
Blazing Saddles...

Never make it to today's screen, even though it actually poked fun at bigotry (much like Archie Bunker), too many idiots would not understand the point.
We have to protect our phony baloney jobs, gentlemen!
Hey! I didn't get a harmuph out of that guy!
For social commentary: Blazing Saddles
For nailing the horror genre: Young Frankenstein
They're both brilliantly done, but it's apples and oranges. Considering the Brooks was completely over the top, there's so many little things tucked into YF it's ridiculous. The scene with w/Frankenstein and Gene Hackman is simply genius.
"What great knockers!"
"Thank you."
"Abbey something. Abbey Normal"
"Walk this way. No this way"
"Frau Blu hah". Neighhh
How bout some more beans Mr Tabirt?
A Damn, Somebody's gotta go back and get a whole shit load of dimes!
Both great but different.
Last week, in describing "runners" who seemed incapable of not standing in the inside lane while I was doing interval, I wrote, "As the Waco Kid said, 'you know, morons.'"
But how can you resist, "Wait, wait. I was going to make espresso."
Blazing Saddles.
"'scuse me while I whip this out!"
No love for Spaceballs?
Gotta go with Blazing Saddles. But they're both great.

I was channel surfing one night and came across Blazing Saddles; I watched for a few minutes and when "n*****" came up it was not bleeped. I went back to make sure I heard it right. I was amazed.
both movies have madeline kahn getting a big bone. I always thought that was hot.
Blazing Saddles is great but it falls apart at the end. The last 15 minutes is mostly just silly, not funny. Young Frankenstein is perfectly done from beginning to end with a great ending.
Close call, but I give the edge to Young Frankenstein.
Madeline Kahn was actually nominated for an Oscar in 'Blazing Saddles."
Enjoy both- hard to choose!
Would you like to roll in zee hay? Roll, roll, roll in zee hay. Come on, is fun!
Teri Garr FTW. What knockers!
