I did a session of 4 x 400m today off 2 minutes, I ram 58, 59, 59, 60 - what 1500m/mile shape would this suggest.

somewhere under 4:30
if the rests were only a minute, i'd say under 4:15
About 5:20 (1500m)
estimator - great lad.
sub 4.20 and certainly under 4 minutes.
I'd say 5.20 is about right.
Didn't break 4 minutes this year, only did one, ran 4 minutes dead. Will try the one minute recovery. Thanks again.

Does that mean 2 minute starts or 2 minute rests.

You're a versatile poster, to be answering your own question.
4x400 with 2 minutes rest at 59 average aren't even close to sub 4. That's a better predictor of a sub 2 minute 800m.
I'd say 4:20 but I don't know anything about your mileage, your other workouts, your basic speed etc.
This workout was a staple of our collegiate team, but we only took one minute rest between reps. Whatever you can do it in with one minute rest, is what your 1500 time should look like.

You would be lucky to break 430. I did a very similar work out last spring and hit 57, 59, 60, 58. Conditions were far from idea, S Wind at 23 mph, humidity near 94% and in the upper 80s. I ended up running a 428 a couple weeks later. Oh yeah, and the reason my work out was not the exact same is in between #2 and #3 I hit the road for a 1.5 mile tempo effort and then took my two minutes. Based solely on this workout if you are doing 50-65 mpw you are probably looking at low to mid 430s.
