Here's the third thread in my trinity of sprinting b.s. threads:
Who is the best "pure sprinter" ever? Not the best 100m guy, but the best "sprinter"?
I mean, who is the best up until the point at which everybody starts decelerating? Let's say, to 50, 60, or 70m--anything after that is maintenance, and by my definition not "pure sprinting".
The 4 best: Bolt, Johnson, Greene, Powell.
The order? Bolt/Johnson, Powell.
Greene's best 60--6.39
Johnson's best 60--6.39 in Seoul
Bolt's best 60--6.31 in Berlin
Powell's best--don't know
Who knows what Johnson could have done.
Bolt could very well still improve.
Powell is right in the mix.
The winner would be a toss-up between Bolt and Johnson, with Powell getting third by a hair. All separated by 2 or 3/100ths.
