I have pain on top of my second metatarsal, almost exactly in the middle of the length of the bone. Came on slowly, some days nothing, some days painful. Now a bit more constant. In addition to the pain, it sort of feel some scar tissue or something fleshy on top of the bone where it hurts.
Stopped running and started icing. Seems to have improved a smidge over a day.
1. Stress fracture/reaction? Something else?
2. Besides icing and rest, any other early intervention recommended? Any guess on recovery time?
