Hey All, Thought we could give this a try. The 50's age group has its own unique challenges. Maybe with some sharing of training methods/ideas we can all gain something from posting our weekly schedules and other information. Hopefully others beyond their 50's and soon to be 50 will contribute too. For me I turned 50 last Dec and primarily training for the Bay State marathon in Oct. hoping to break 3 hrs for the first time (previous bests were 3:02 in 05 and 3:03 last year). I'm currently running 70+ mpw with a 21 mile long run most weekends and a shorter 7+ mid week mrp run. This week I hit 71 miles with a 21 miler Sat in 2:29:55 (a best on this course).
