The have 2 home meets and a meet in Fairfax before ACC's. Do they have budget problems or does Vig think they are going to dominate the region?

Vig wants the moooola$$$ that these meets could bring in.
It's become fashionable of late to race as little as possible (a la Wisconsin) and not to compete in any big meets prior to the championship portion of the season. It didn't work very well for Wisconsin, which should have won a couple more titles than it did during the Solinsky/Bairu/Tegenkamp years.
Oregon doesn't travel outside Oregon, but at least they host a quality invite.
3 home meets.
Great recruiting tool as well. It gets all of the local kids to come to your meet
Are they not going to Pre-Nats? They've done very well and scored a lot of at large points there the last few years.
the only thing good about prenats is the food.
Who cares. Vig is the most overrated coach in America. I hear he kicks kids off the team for running 6:45 pace on there long run, aka to slow apparently......... he is a big tool, and thinks he is gods gift to track and field because BILLY BUBBA THORTON took him under his wing.

You are full of sh*t.
Don't know about UVA's situation, but looking at many of the college cross country schedules, it appears many have had to cut back on travel. My team normally competes in several big meets, but this year is staying much closer to home. We are only participating in one meet that requires the team to fly.
I think that many schools will have budget problems this year.

Wrong. This is not fashionable as of late.
Oregon used to race once or twice prior to conference back in th 70's. Cross was a base phase for track and not realy emphasized.
Smartest schedule in the nation.
Local kids? I don't think that is his motivation here. Sure, they have gotten a couple of good local kids, but if UVA wants to be REAL good, that is not going to do it.

Brad can't be away from C'Ville too often or he would miss his chest waxing appointments.
