Ritz is now 117th all time
Teg is 177th all time.
This gives me the same feeling I had when I ran an indoor 3k p.r. and got lapped by Jonah Koech.

Let me guess: penis envy.

It's really hard to imagine that a true fan of American distance running would not be impressed and somewhat excited by the performances of Teg and Ritz (as well as Hall and Webb at different distances and different years) as well as excited to see what the next group with Jager, Derrick, Fernandez... can do in the next few years.
If you are not really a fan of American distance running, what in the world are you doing here? If I were you I'd find something that I was interested in in a positive way (not just to mock, belittle and disparage) and go put my energies there.
For me, my hat's off to Teg and Ritz.
Cheers
They are quite a lot higher than that on the 'performers' list. You are counting multiple performances by people like Komen, Geb, Bekele, etc.

Always happy, never satisfied.

Ritz and Teg were 3.9 and 3.2 seconds behind the greatest distance runner in the world, in his two fastest performances of the year.
How is that, in any way way, shape of form, like you getting lapped in some podunk indoor race?
