6.5 weeks ago I broke my neck in a bicycle accident and had surgery. I didn't damage any nerves and I'm going to be restriction free, but this is my longest break from running since I started in the 7th grade 15 years ago. I've also not been allowed to cross train at all.
5-years ago in college I ran a 1:53.1 800m and a 3:55 1500m (~4:12mi). This year I ran a 3:10 1200 just off of marathon training (no real speedwork) and before the accident probably could have run under 4:20 for the mile.
When the doc clears me to run next week after 7 weeks of no exercise, how fast could I run an all-out mile?
