If I averaged about 80 mpw the 10 weeks leading up to my marathon taper (high during that time was 91, low of 71, rest at about 80) and 75 mpw during the last 15 weeks, how should I taper for my thon?
My thinking is 2 weeks out cut the mileage from 84 to about 60 consisting of something like
Sat- 22 (last long run... last few miles at MP)
Sun- 7 (obviously last day of that 84 mile week... then...)
Mon- 9
Tue- 9 with pickups
Wed- 11
Thur- 9 (1000s or something)
Fri- 9
Sat- 5
Sun- 8/5k race
Total of 60
and then the week of the marathon run
Mon- 5
Tue- 7
Wed- 6 (2 up, 2 miles at MP, 2 down)
Thur- 5
Fri- 0
Sat- 4
Sun- 26.2 mile race
