Terrbile Human... owes many people (participants and businesses)a lot of money in every town and city he's ever hosted an event.
He still owes me about 1,000 bucks so if anyone knows anything post it publicly... I'd love to say hi.
The race director for the Seattle Marathon is pretty bad.

This will be productive (he said sarcastically).
It seems like they keep changing the LA Marathon course every year. I have run it twice and hated the course both times, the second time the start was horribly delayed and atrociously crowded and disorganized, I have not been back.
I don't know the guy, or even if it is the same guy(s), but it seems like a city like LA should be able to have a decent race; my vote is for LA's director.
When I was a kid, I saw Jock Semple really flip out at the start of the Mt Washington Road Race, 1977, what an ass, but I think he is not living anymore.
Who is the retarded idiot that puts on the Adidas Track Classic in Carson, California ?
Nice that it's a great afternoon TV meet with a awesome field with world class sprints/hurdles.
They organize that meet at a track that after 10 years is still under construction. It has
No toilets.
No running water.
No seat backs.
No shade.
Unpaved walkways with wood chips.
No volunteer high school kids for track crews.
No free tickets for kids to pack the stands.
No ads in the local papers or on TV.
Your LA complaint is not with the race director but with long-time (and no longer) ownership. Fortunately that has changed - the 2010 race should be a big step forward.
