Hi guys my x-country season starts on the 26th September and Im not in great shape. Probably in 37min 10k shape compared to 35min 10k shape this time last year going into the season. The reason being ive just been travelling for 5 weeks and havent done any training until I got back last thursday.
Can anyone suggest a couple of hard sessions to get some fitness quite quickly. I usually get back in shape after a rest/injury quite quickly but please bear in mind im 44 so probably dont improve as quick as you young athletes.
