Aspertame, Nutrasweet, gives me a headache almost every time I drink it, especially without food. I go for the drinks with Splenda (DietRite, some Coke and Pepsi products)
The high school coach preached that soda was dehydrating, fact or not. Could be that's why one craves more soda rather than it quenching your thirst and hydrating you.
The decaffeinated part isn't bad at all. Caffeine is added to the sodas that have it. It isn't a natural substance they have to remove through some process.
Aspartame has no effect on most people. However, there seems to be some anecdotal evidence that aspartame is bad. Real or imagined? Shrug.
In conclusion, probably not.
It depends on the metabolism God gave you. For some of us, our body things we ingested sugar and fills our blood with insulin, giving us low blood sugar.
