He walked the entire last lap.

A runner fell before him and he was cut blocked to the ground.

He gamely finished the race.

Good for him finishing. I hope he is ok.
If Evan Jager quit Nike tomorrow and returned to U of Wisconsin, would he eligable for NCAAs again?

No. By accepting more than $25 or therabouts for running he loses his NCAA eligeability.
He wouldn't be eligible. Neither would Lebron James.
No. Only Rupp would given those types of circumstances.
Jager got tripped and fell with 500 to go. He got up 30 meters behind and finished....he wouldn't have won but would have finished around Lopez most likely
Umm...never heard of this guy.

Yeah, after the NCAA made him pay a $5,000 dollar fine to charity.
And, get your fvcking facts straight and your comments truthful.

Not sure that's entirely true... Jager could return to Wisconsin and compete in the Ncaa without paying a dime back. Just not in track I believe! (obviously there would be no point...not that there would be a point for him to return to track either).
There is precident for this before i believe....what's his name....Tim Dwight i believe went pro, and then returned to compete for his track team...and i'm sure he made a hell of a lot more than 25k.

By not in track...i mean not in XC as well.
Actually he is going to play basketball for Duke.

I think that since Jager has endorsement money from Nike (and not just winnings from track meets) he couldn't return to play other sports. Similar to Jeremy Bloom.
