Hey guys,
I just turned 50 in July. I want to try to run 4:30 for a full mile.
I specifically asking for some advice from the younger guys, about training just because I don't know how archaic my training was is the 70's-80's.
I was able to run 14:36 and 30:41 in college (my PBs). Now, my recent bests in the 5k are around 17 minutes. Never was a miler.
I know the chances are slim I'll get under 4:30, but I want to get close.
All I know how to do is break up 4:30 into 200's and 400's and run intervals at that pace. So, 12 x 200 and 8 x 400 at race pace.
Any other good workouts for a geezer?
