I can't stop using the handicapped stall

I don't like the handicap stall just because the toilet is always so high. The toilet in a normal stall really allows you to assume the proper squatting position. Using the handicap toilet is like trying to take a crap while sitting in a normal dining room chair. It just doesn't allow things to flow quite as easily.

The place I worked last summer had no elevator, and the second floor was twice as high as a normal second floor, so there's no way anyone with a wheelchair was getting up there. And yet, one stall was twice as big as the other two stalls. I called it the throne room. It was always a letdown to go in there and find it occupied and have to use one of the "lesser-people" stalls.

Why not make all the stalls as spacious as the handicapped stall? Why should only they get the luxury of all that room to move around? This appears like reverse discrimination.

A restaurant I frequent has a handicap stall in each restrooms downstairs & a Universal Access restroom off kitchen on dining level. They have a payphone at wheelchair height at the foot of the stairs while the 40s` style doored sitdown phonebooth on ground level is unaccessable to wheelchairs!!

It isn't the handicapped stall it is the handicapped accessible stall - big difference.

We have 2 here at work - no one here is handicapped, differently abled or any of that PC business.

really? i've seen every episode several times and don't remember this issue being dealt with. refresh my memory?

You are perfectly welcome to use facilities marked for handicap people as long as you are not preventing or denying them access. The law is not designed so handicap people don't have to wait their turn. If you broke the toilet, there might be trouble and your employer might face legal repercussions if someone who falls under the American Disabilities Act was unreasonable inconvenienced.

Parking spots are a different matter because I think most States require a permit, decal, etc to use the space no matter how many spaces are available.

I don't know what would happen if you took a big dump in one of the handicap parking spaces.

You have come to Letsrun to obtain moral direction regarding a toileting conundrum. I assume you've tried your local pastor first but found him unsympathetic to helping you solve your moral dilemma.I think that you are harming no one and have no need wrestle with this issue. However be very careful! Wouldn't it be ironic if you started using this only out of convenience but that in some way you foreshadowed what some day might be a necessity?Life can sometimes take some surprising twists.

not all disabilities are physical. eye have a mental disability, and eye also have a handicap sticker and get to park in handicap space. does that bug u? bite me.

Parking your ass in a stall takes a lot less time than parking your car in a designated lot space. Also, using the handicapped stall acts as a buffer from the other stalls since they are so roomy, so it doesnt feel like you're right on top of somebody else.
