Okay, I have a training question.
I am 32, and want to get back into running marathons. My last race was when I was 27, at which I ran 2:32. I have been running about 45-50 minutes a day since then, with occasional days off, but nothing regular. I say I average a day off every month.
Over the last few months, I have started adding in a longer run on Saturdays (90-100 minutes), and the occasional double (two 45 minute runs).
I have a pretty busy schedule - demanding job, kids, wife. This week, I have managed to do 90 minutes (~14 Miles) on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I was really tired this weekend, so I just did 45 on Saturday and Sunday.
Is it okay to try to work up to a 90 minute run everyday of the week, with a longer run on thrown in at some point, or an I asking for injury? I typically don't get injured, and have done high mileage before (100-120 mpw).
I just don't have the time for doubles, but could probably manage 1:30 everyday if I scheduled for it.
Is this too much? Stupid?
