hi,
i'm aiming to do a marathon next spring with a goal of 3:30 (8 minutes per mile the whole way). i ran a 4:10 in spring of 2008, dying horribly in the last several miles and stopping for diarrhea quite a bit. i also ran a half marathon in december 2008 in 1:40 (7:38 per mile).
my question is, what should my pace be while doing different training runs? for sunday long runs, for slow recovery runs, and for tempo runs, how should the pace compare to my goal race pace of 8:00 per mile? also would any track intervals be helpful at any point in marathon training?
