If my race is at 3:30 PM... and I do a 3 hour jog around 11:30-12, will this benefit me? For the 3:30 PM race, I would also be doing a 2 mile warmup jog or something like half an hour before the race starts. I can only do the 3 mile jog ~3-4 hours before the race (only time slot that I'm free).
