Tough Legal advice for child born in another country

I am planning on seeing an attorney but was looking to get some feelers here first. I fathered a son a few years ago who I love dearly and see every day on the internet. The mother and I were deeply in love but I balked when she wanted to come to the States. She is married but loves me. She has tough time leaving her husband because he was there for the birth of the child. They live in European country. As an American, as biological father - do I have any rights over in Europe? Please help me. Thanks

to elaborate - as biological father and one with means, albeit in another country, could I get visitation rights? I would even buy place over there.

you lost them bud, move on. It sounds like they have. Just because you fathered a child doesn't mean your the real father. It sounds like the current husband is taking the responsibility of raising the child, so he's the real father. It's your fault for abandoning them. If you really wanted your kid, you would have gone through hell to keep him with you. If that mean bringing them to the US or you moving over there to be with them, than that's what it would have taken. Instead you bailed on them and left them there, so they just moved on with their lives. Can you blame them for that?

you are wrong - I never bailed on them. I already have $40,000 account set for his education... I never miss seeing him every day. I have been sending him packages since day one with clotehes for him. I never bailed.

I'm no lawyer but I do know women that tried to keep their kids from the father.

Is your name on the birth certificate as the father? It could make a difference.
