Any LR ladies with experience distance running and dancing on pointe?
My 13-year-old is starting her first X-C season next week, and wants to continue dance classes as well. I'm not sure how much mileage they'll be putting in at the middle school level, but I'm concerned about the potential for injury. She'll be in dance class about 10 hours a week on hardwood floors in those god-awful toe shoes.
Any ideas for keeping her legs healthy? She loves the dance, and has been looking forward to X-C as well, so I don't see asking her to choose between the two activities.
