I thought this would be a good thread to try and notice some common traits that good coaches have, for the sake of those coaches out there working to do their best with their athletes.
I never had very many coaches in my life; my dad was my coach for a lot of things growing up, but not running. I guess my high school xc and track coach would have to have been the best coach I ever had- Doug Rudolf. He was down to earth, was always focused on specific goals, and was good at reading me and what my goals were. I guess he just worked well with me.
