So lately I've been reviewing my training log from the past year to see what I did good/bad and what caused different things to happen in my racing. I've noticed that during my heavy drinking months in the past year, which have equaled to about four, my times improved dramatically. They also were at different times in my training. For example, two of the months I drank heavily were during my interval phase of training, one was during my peak, and one was during my base. Each month I had at least two races. The races during these months were great and I dropped my times significantly. That being said, should I make every month a "heavy" drinking month or should I spread them out so a "heavy" drinking month will still stay heavy and not up my heavy drinking.
ps. When I mean heavy, I mean getting buzzed at least every night of the week and getting completely trashed two nights of the week. Oh, and I seem not to have a bad hangover so my training does not suffer much.
