No longer with a filibuster proof majority, the Democrats' health care bill is O - V - E - R. History. Deeee-funct.
Ted Kennedy got the law in Massachussets changed so that Mitt Romney could not appoint a replacement. During the last two weeks, Kennedy could see the writing on the wall and realized what he had done. He tried desperately to change the law back in the hopes that Romney would name a Democratic replacement, but apparently changing the law at his whim had grown old for those who had elected him. Now, an election must be held. The timetable for that election will most surely take longer than the President and the rest of his cronies are willing to wait for a health care showdown.
Game, set, and match. Healthcare Takeover rest in peace.
