I think I might know the answer, just wanted to hear from some people who have more of a clue than me. I've been dedicated to training for about 2 years now under my "coach." Though, I'm not sure he knows what he's doing. In the past few months my times have been getting slower -- I have a 5K PR in the 18's (female, 30 something, didn't run in college). That was 2 years ago. In the past few months I'm struggling to maintain 6:30 pace in races, despite no break in training. For example, I ran a 4 mile race last year at 6:09 pace. This year, I struggled to hold 6:30 pace. Does anyone have any explanations as to how I can be getting slower the longer I train?
