wow.... that was much more realistic than I would have ever imagined. The part that got to me was the sound of one of the girl´s neck snapping.... ugly
that said, i can't imagine it would have any effect on teenagers texting and driving. they think they're bulletproof anyway.
I don't believe the girl was texting when she was driving, but she was driving WAY too fast and was an unexperienced driver. If you want to see what happened, google "nikki catsouras pictures." WARNING: THESE PICTURES ARE GRAPHIC. VERY GRAPHIC.
Driving is a task that needs your utmost focus. PLEASE pay attention while driving.
I'm not gonna check it out, can someone give me the play by play?
How stupid are you? No, wait, don't bother replying. You've made it clear.

Everyone should see that video.
That's why it is so gory. It's hard to screen out/forget the sound of a neck snapping. I think this is a great reality check for teens.
Im sarcastic and negative by nature
but
very good video
realistic without being overly dramatic
From what I read Nikki Catsouras tried passing a car at 70mph, and clipped an oncoming car and crashed into a cement piling. No mention of her texting while driving. What is horrible, though, is that the state police released those photos to the public. Her family has every right to sue.
That being said, it was a horrible crash scene. Nikki looked to be a beautiful young woman, and certainly did not deserve such an horrendous death.

Ugh. "graphic" doesn't quite do those pictures justice.
I'm from Fairport, NY, where a few summers ago 5 young girls who had just graduated HS died in a head-on collision with a semi. The girl driving was apparently texting right before this happened. The community was in mourning. Thousands showed up for a memorial service at the high school, total strangers from the community giving support at the wakes, memorials planted on the school grounds, a large portion of the HS campus named after them.
While at home visiting family, what do I see driving around town, barely two years after this tragedy? Teenage girls texting on their damned cell phones.
Keep in mind with stuff like this gore to keep kids from doing it; you're not dealing with rational people, you're dealing with primarily teenage girls.
I've seen college girls and boys doing it, soccer moms in their mini vans on their Crackberrys. At what age do humans realize they're not indestructible?
It's also dangerous to drive while listening to Queen
hahahaha!
I love Letsrun.
The first clip looked like a Quentin Tarantino production. It reminded me of Death Proof.
I think it would have to be real to affect me. I didn't look at those actual pics being discussed.
Great re-mix on that last clip.
Wow that was pretty damn stupid. I laughed through the whole thing. Amazes me the stupidy of people. I'd say the creaters of the psa are actually dumber than people that text and drive at the same time.
Holy sh!t, laughing my a$$ off!
Laughing your a-- off?
Drink responsibly, text while you are standing still and RESPOND to serious issues RESPONSIBLY. You don't want to have to identify your brother, sister or friend in one of these deadly situations.
Last year, as a pedestrian on the opposite side of the street, I was very nearly killed by a teenage driver who was foraging around on the floor of her car for her cell phone. She strayed over the yellow line and kept straying straight in my direction. The only reason I wasn't killed is because instead of hitting me she hit a car heading in the other direction one second after it had passed me. But debris did fly past my face.
Not to be a humorless wet blanket, but drivers don't need to be doing stuff that requires that their eyes be off the road and their hand off the wheel. Just listen to some music, watch the scenery, or talk to a passenger. I mean what the hell is happening to attention spans these days?

Let me say I'm sorry that the young ladies died. BUT, thousands at the service? Naming portions of the school after them? Sounds like they were being glorified for their stupidity. (Realizing they weren't all driving and texting.) Was the driver included in the glorification?
