Seriously this guy is the greatest kicker of all time. What if he trained for the 100m, what could he do? 9.3 maybe?

10.25 at best. that would be incredible though.
11flat
You are on crack to think he could come close to breaking 10. Probably mid to high tens. The man is built for distance. His 1500 time ("only" 3:32) shows that he is more of a distance than mid distance guy.
Maybe high tens. Probably 11 flat or so. Running a really fast 100 is all about the start and acceleration, so kicking ability doesn't necessarily equal a fast 100.
Bekele can run ~11 flat from a stand (just like he has said in one of his recent Berlin interviews)and roughly 10.2-10.3 w/ a good running start. He is not slow.
Given relatively short recoveries, he could run 12's all day.
Even though this was a troll attempt I would disagree that based on his performance in the 5k he is the greatest kicker. I think it was more about who has the most left in the tank and that clearly was Bekele.
As far as distance goes, I am sure with specific training he'd beat the likes of the "American runner" Lagat in the 1500/Mile any day. El G. a few years ago, I don't know, probably not. But todays 1500m runners, yes.
What is the deal with the last hundred in this video. It is the world record and it seriously looks like he runs 10. Read back on the comments and the info at the top. A lot of other people seem to think so too.
That is not possible. Right? I think we're looking at the wrong line, maybe not.
If it is, then I am guessing at least 10.3 top end

A singlet and shorts? Distance spikes?
He ran the last 100m of his 10000m WR in roughly 11.0.
NO HE DID NOT.
The 100m does not begin wherever the straightaway begins.
That was so stupid, it's actually funny.
It looks like he crosses the 100m to go mark at 26:05.3-5, so it's about 12-12.2 for the last 100m. You're looking at the wrong line.
Anyone who thinks that it is 11.0 is probably looking at the END OF THE RELAY TRANSITION.
Stupidds.
he could run 12's all day doesn't mean he could run a 10.3
I just picture him lined up against the top 100m women in the world who are all jacked up looking. It would be hard to believe he could beat all of them. I think he might have a better shot in the 200 but still I can't see him running under 22 seconds for that and beating an Allyson Felix.
Why not 8.30?
I'm his biggest fan but 10.90 max (this is around the time Coe, Ovett could do (Ovett he ran several sprint races 100-400 even in late teens - results from his autobiography)
He has a great sprint, but he's not faster than Lagat, his speed endurance and general endurance is better

You're looking at the wrong line too. 26 for the last 200 13 for the last 100.
Dave Cameron's Model says he could run 6.13 seconds for 100m.
You're welcome.
You are right. I stand corrected.
