I am a 30:30 10k runner trying to come back from a summer injury. My last race was May 31, 2009. Then my foot hurt (most likely a stress fracture). I took it really easy for 8 weeks and now it's all healed up. I've done about 85-90 miles per week for the past 3 weeks. I just did a 10 mile tempo in 54:30 today in regular trainers and kept it very even and relaxed, so I feel like I'm getting back into shape. I'd like to race a marathon this October. I'm worried about the lack of base from earlier in the summer. Should I just keep increasing mileage? What can/should I expect to run? Any advice is welcome.
