Will runners in this suit start destroying world records?

"X-Bionic apparel literally 'turns your sweat into energy'".
Bogus?
Well, if they mean "literally" literally, and if my meager understanding of E=MC^2 is correct, then any runner wearing one of these would be instantly incinerated as soon as they started to perspire.
"Recent studies have shown that athletes can expend up to 97% of their metabolic energy just to maintain a constant core body temperature"
Such good BS.
So anyway, if it's real, it wouldn't have any effect on the sprints, since core temp doesn't rise much there. It would mainly help for distance races in the heat. But distance WRs are usually set in cool temps anyway, so it probably would make any difference for that, but I guess it could give you an advantage over your competitors in a hot race.
Yeah but on the right woman that form fitting stuff is the shit! Bring it on.
The only way this suit will revolutionize running is by trapping body odor so that locker rooms and tracks stink less.

It's good BS, but it's essentially true. Warm blooded creatures (which include man) do expend a large percentage of their metabolic energy maintaining a constant body temperature (it varies depending on the species and local conditions. 97% seems a little high as a general rule, but 80-90% isn't out of line). OTOH, special fabric isn't really going to change the fact that you are warm blooded.
What's "OTOH"?
i meant this:
"Recent studies have shown that athletes can expend up to 97% of their metabolic energy just to maintain a constant core body temperature"
Well, if you stuck bekele in a cold room in just his Ethiopia racing gear and didn't let him run, I'm pretty sure close to 100% of his metabolic energy will go to maintaining a constant core temperature. "up to" is the key phrase here.
Also with the E=mc^2 thing... I think the runner might incinerate more than just him/herself
