the russian was making all kinds of space for herself, pushing christin w-t among others out of the way in the second lap. it was good to see her out the back at the end. w-t did too much work early - she was involved in too much contact early on, it wasn't much of a surprise to see her fade going into the last lap. still great stuff going after it. are we ready to turn the corner and get some medals at the next world's?

Did you actually watch the race? Burka did no shoving.

Not only did Rodriguez push Burka, she also stepped on the inside of the track.

If they don't DQ her after that, the whole WC is rigged. Everyone should be protesting that sort of maneuver, even those who don't stand to benefit from a medal.

There was NO WAY Rodriguez had enough room inside to pass. NO WAY. She definitely looked strong and could have probably won the thing on the final straight had she held her position and gone oustide. The fall slowed her a lot and she still came back and won. She made a totally illegal move and should be DQed.

Serious. Burka did not create contact, nor did she cut off Rodriguez. Burka was holing her own position, perfectly legal. Rodriguez no doubt was not trying to knock Burka over, but she did. She was not in a good position to win, so she tried to make a rather dangerous move. It did not work, and she should be DQ'd
