FLINT, Michigan — Enock Mitei dominated the 33rd running of the Crim Festival of Races on Saturday, winning the 10-mile race by nearly a half-mile over fellow Kenyans Festus Langat, the 2007 champion, and Cheboiyo Boaz.
Mitei, now residing in Marietta, Ga., clocked an unofficial 46:49 on a cool, breezy day, about a minute off the record time of 45:43 set by Joseph Kamau in 1996.
Alemitu Albera of Ethiopia won the women's title in an unofficial 53:49.
Molly Huddle, a Notre Dame graduate now living in Providence, R.I., took the women's American 10-mile championship that was staged within the race.
Dane Pilon won the wheelchair race in an unofficial 28:35.
Any other results for this championship race? It was over several hours ago.
No results have been posted on the Crim website, USATF or Active.com. This is a bit disappointing and hopefully they get up soon. Huddle winning yet another road race is encouraging.
Results are now up on RunMichigan. Top American guy was Danny Jackson (Notre Dame runner from Dexter, MI) in 49:33

2009 Results are on the CRIM page under 2008 results.... go figure
Conditions were perfect this year and the fast times show it. Normally it's hot and muggy on race day. Saturday was cool and cloudy with low humidity and a slight breeze.
Sorry to hijack, but is this a good race for an age grouper? Not talking about competing, just is it a good event to and run?
While some people like destination marathons, I have a short list of races that have always intrigued me (Crim, Bay to Breakers, Bloomsday, Bix, etc).
It's a great race. First half relatively flat, a litle rolling in the middle, and a downhill last mile. Crowd support is fantastic throughout. IMHO it is the best race in Michigan. You will not be disappointed.
The course is through a relatively ugly city and the weather is typically hot and humid. I ran it 6-7 years, and only enjoyed one of them. OK local and crowd support.
I'm not sure why some people like this race so much, there are certainly better choices in the area.
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!

How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
