Lebron is CRUSHING Bolt. Winning is mildly entertaining. Running is very boring. Watching someone who will one day be regarded as the best basketball player in the history of the world is much more exciting.
LOL at people talking about a golfer as an 'athlete', its like olympic shooting being considered at the same level as t&f, even though he can be the best or whatever, and being placed in the same sentence with usain bolt and michel phelps, go broadcast chess ESPN.

lebron sucks.
Bolt by a mile. After him I'd go for Ronaldo then Phelps.
How is Tiger an athlete? The most exertion comes from strolling between holes. And I hate how they're going to make golf an Olympic sport (at the expense of more deserving disciplines)just so TW can finally add a gold medal to his resume.

Lebron is talented but overrated. He's got the same ghetto style self absorption that plagues our sprinters who can't get together enough to practice for the relays. He's also one hell of a choker. Can't say that about Bolt.
brutally LOL at golf being olympic and not so karate or rugby!!
lets include formula1, superbikes, bodybuilding, chess and slamball for london 2012 WTF, is this a joke??
caster semenya. I like her a lot, seriously
If nike, adidas, nike would be smart they would be jumping on her now and show they are not in just for the money
Brett Favre.

It's hard to believe that someone could make such a statement without laughing out loud. Unless perhaps they're too young to have seen Mr. Jordan in his prime.
Anyway, thanks for the laugh.

I thought 7-7 rugby was added for London.
Each person listed is a great athlete. Bolt gets my nod just from the buzz when he lines up. Lebron does amazing things, but I have seen Jordan, Dr.J and others do what he does (and win championships).

I watched Jordans whole career as well Kareem, Magic, Bird, and the end of Chamberlains.
Notice I said "he will one day be regarded..." You have to remember Lebron is only 24 years old. He will win many titles and may play another 16 years. If he stays healthy, he could end his career with over 40,000 points (1st), 12,000 assists (2nd), and 14,000 rebounds (top 10). If he just wins 3 or 4 titles and puts up those numbers for a career, you would have to rate him over Jordan and his 6 titles, but a shorter career and baseball siesta.
At 24 years old Jordan didn't have any titles and was scoring a lot of points but had yet to avg 7 assist or 7 rebounds in a season. You may be shocked to find out that he shot 13%!!!! from the 3 point line that year. In fact, his first four years in the league, he only made 16% of his 3 pointers. Compare that to Lebron (people say Lebrons biggest weakness is his shoooting) who has shot 32.8% of his 3 pointers at 24 years old and younger. If you have watched Lebron play, you should know how much better he has gotten every year. I see no reason why this won't continue for many more years.
This past year, he played the 2nd least minutes in his career, but scored the 2nd most points and set career highs in fg%, rebounds, assists, blocks, and least turnovers.
Michael would not do very well in a comparison with Lebron at the age of 24. Lebron is by far a much more complete player at that age. Only time will tell how Lebrons whole career plays out but to say is it laughable that he will become the best ever is just ignorant on your part.
Get that weak stuff outta here!!

Regardless of what you think of golf, Tiger makes for compelling viewing. I couldn't care less about golf unless Tiger is in the lead. Then I enjoy watching him.
Bumping from the depths

It's as much a sport as e.g. skeet shooting and archery are. (which I believe shpuld be removed as well) So as long as they are in, golf has just the same right to come in.
Ok how is Lebron going to be the greatest ever when he isn't even the greatest in his own generation? For the the ,only god knows how many time, Kobe is the better Basketball Player. Lebron is the most exciting ( or athletic whichever you please) player. Since when does winning championships not count in being a basketball player? He has equal if not better stats than Lebron each year. This makes no sense. Also Micheal Jordan could have easily scored 40000 plus points. Hell he could have got 50000 if he would have played for 16 STRAIGHT years. That was stupid on his part.
Anyways vote Usain Bolt. What about Roger F. I find him very exciting to watch.
