nick symmonds 3rd in 143 high?
symmonds 3rd in 143.8, just behind kaki in 143.5 and borzo in 2nd.
He's coming around, folks.
How many white guys have run faster? More than 5? 7?
never mind my question ... I had no idea like 281 men have run faster
what a beast of white runner.

if the iaaf list is right, he's tied for 17th fastest "white guy" ever...
thanks, Actually -
If he makes the finals than his whole career path will change. He will be the real deal!
Wasn't there a post a few days ago saying that Nick wasn't in the same class as Gary Reed and that he WOULD never beat him? What do you think of that now Canada?
Anyone who can run 1:43.83 is the REAL DEAL!! Way to go Nick, there is more to come as you are peaking at the right time.

Well done. Do you supposed the board's Jason Mewes roots for him? Although I do wish the marijuologist would just STFU sometimes.
Whoever suggested that Symmonds couldn't compete with Gary on any given day is nuts. He just hasn't been as consistent....the question is can Symmonds do it after 2 rounds, like Gary has proven he can?
Also, Symmonds is built like a hockey player, so he is almost Canadian anyway.

No one was suggesting that, or if they were they were being stupid (as I think Symmonds has already beat Reed before). They were saying come championship time, Reed is a step above Symmonds in terms of experience and consistancy. I think Reed is almost a lock (well as much as anyone can be a lock in the 800) to make the final, whereas Symmonds not so much.
Great run. Seems like he might just put everything together in Berlin after his early-season injury.
There is no need to bring race into this. He is just a guy who run a 1:43 800. This should be among the ten fastest times in the world this year.
Is it just me or is anyone else getting upset with Nick on that last curve? I know that's his racing style but he keeps swinging really wide into three just to pass guys. If he moved around 300 and placed himself better then took off with 100m to go he wouldn't have to go so far wide. But all in all it was a great race for Nick
