Do the Brojos ever have to work again. Is this web site business all it's cracked up to be. There seems to be tons of adds everywhere on these pages. They must be making some pretty decent cash. When will letsrun.com have it's IPO? I might want in!

Forget an IPO, this site needs it's own IPA. About 8.2% alcohol, pine and nut taste, perfect.
Its not worth anything without its anonymous message board
People! they only make money when you click onto an ad. So as long as you do not click the ads, they make no dough. The Brojos have part time jobs in order to get by, this site generates only a few hundred to maybe a couple of thousand a year.

I seen them cleaning tables at Voodoo Donuts in Portland.

The brothers are laughing their ass off right now. Puhleeze, "a few hundred"? "A couple thousand"? Waaay more.
also, if its true that they only make cash if we click on an ad THEN WE SHOULD CLICK ON ADS! Dont be a hater, help the brothers out, they made a great site, they are nice guys, and were great runners so click away!

Hey shit for brains, who said I was a hater, I am just stating facts. I do click away most likely more than you. I am sure they are nice guys, however since I do not speak with them on daily basis like you must, then I cannot make a accurate conclusion.
Over $250K but:
If you are the owner ...
Rent us a little area on your homepage.
You can make as much as $249/month with letsrun.com.
I heard the brojos turned down some serious cash to sell the site a few years ago. Ipo is a different ball game.

I think the friendliness score is a little inflated.
letsrun.com needs a mobile version.

in that order.
In theory letsrun could to do an IPO, it just wouldn't be very profitable.
They don't really sell a product (they have those summer training plans but the scale is relatively small and of course seasonal) so their only revenue is from ads. This means that their only business plan would be to issue a dividend based on ad sales revenues. Then they would have to start trying to take over other websites in order to recieve the added benefit of their ad revenues. And unless they start providing a product on a larger scale, their only way to provide shareholder value is by increasing the dividend.
The tough part about this is capacity...how many sites can you take over until your manpower costs begin to errode your profit margin. Sure they could take over runnerspace.com and flotrack.org but they would probably be forced to retain all the personell plus hire more people to integrate the sites one a single framework, so there would be no real costs savings to be had out of the takeover. I'm basically implying that each of these sites is more profitable on its own.
If the bro-jos were in this to make money they should really start pushing their training plans a lot more. To tell you the truth they have a great story with Wejo and his 28:06; they could do quite a bit more to market their training plans and actually make it a successful part-time business.
Don't you remember those websites from the pre dot com era. They all had zero cash flow, actually if I remember correctly they had negative cash flow and their IPOs where going for millions. I think the same would happen with letsun.com
