Easily pulled away from Powell after a slow start out of the blocks. Amazing race.

easy, but not that easy, Powell was there then he suddenly eased up

BS, Powell was well beaten
Yeah, it's pretty clear that Powell can't beat Gay. Tyson had as bad of a start as he's ever had, and still walked right by Asafa like he wasn't even there.
Powell will be fighting for 3rd in Berlin, mark my words. Bolt will probably beat Gay similarly to how Gay beat Powell today.
in post race interview powell was pretty calm and collected saying he's satisfied with 9.88 coming off injury. Gay's faster but if Powell has a good day it will be a lot closer.
Tyson Homosexual FTW!!!
Tyson Gay can run with anyone in the world. So do not be suprised if he is right up there with Bolt, or even if he beats bolt.
Good win by Gay but Powell didn't run up to his capabilities, in characteristic fashion.
Powell remains somewhat of an enigma. He got out slower than Gay, ran stride for stride and then momentarily gained on him at about 60m, but then exercised what is becoming a patented deceleration (mainly seen at championship events), losing handily.
He seems to have a bit of the Webb syndrome - a tendency to dominate when he is running away from the field, but extreme difficulty when pressed, stride for stride.
