He's already won an NCAA title in the 1500, and competed quite well against American pro runners. Running 13:25, 3:55mile, 3:39, etc. Personally I feel that if by the end of next year he has added more NCAA titles/PRs he should go PRO.
It would be more beneficial, because I'm assuming he could cash in quite a decent amount right now after all his accomplishments. If he could even rake in $100k a year that would be phenomenal--- he could save a pretty penny as well as pay for the years he would be missing college with that kind of money.
Not only that, but it would be expected to see him make some athletics gains, as a pro he would be focused on training and have pretty much no other worries, besides the fact he is still quite young and maturing.
