I have one individual NCAA title... its cool to have, but i can't tell you what i would have given to make an olympic team. i would probably trade 4 titles for an olympic team.

Well, you only have one to trade, so no deal.

What does a crystal ball have to do with going to the Olympics or winning an NCAA title?

Olympics, hands down.

Representing your country in the olympics is hands down superior to representing your school.

A better question would be going to the world championships or winning an NCAA title.

In that case, i'd probably take the NCAA title.

Just to be a part of the Olympic village scene would be worth trading in my hypothetical NCAA title.

Olympian might be the best non-academic/work-related item you could possibly put on a resume---I'll take Olympic participant any day.

I'd take WC over NCAA. Regular jackoffs have never heard of the WC but know about the Olympics, but the WC is just barely less prestigious than Oly to the track world, which is all I would care about.

I was lucky enough to be Division 1 NCAA champion indoors, and made an Olmpic team two years later. while NCAA champion was great, and our team won to boot, the whole Olymic experience was incredibly awesome and I would have to say better

You can have 99% of the NCAA experience without winning the championships, but you can't get the Olympic experience without being there. I also was injured at the Olympics and ran like crap, but looking back it was still great....

Olympian vs College Champion? I'll take the former, every time. I was not a college champion, but was an All American (3rd, not 8th or 9th like that watered down crap now days;but would still take the Olympian title).
no doubt....

a fine runner who ran a handful of 1500m races between 335 and 340 in the late 80s. However at Seoul in '88, ran a clunker of a 1500m in the heats...3:55.
