CJ's improvement is not as dramatic as Shelly Ann's
Someone has already pointed it out on this very thread. her agent is Mark Block. Why is he still involved in track and field. Can we give agents drug bans?
How old is Shelly Ann and How old is Jeter?
Again...who's her coach? Nuff said!

hey a$$hole (KG?)- why don\'t you post your real name on here? i\'d love to speak with you face to face. barringer? seriously?! please post your address. it\'s time dickheads like yourself have some culpability.
She did have quite a fast reaction time, almost no wind, money on the line.
She hasnt been injured in 3 years. She changed coaches so maybe she has always had talent but never proper coaching.
We have to be skeptics in our sport because of the shady past put we should also praise someone for running well.
Jeter ran 10.88, 10.72 and 10.78 (cramping up at 70 meters) in Eugene at Nationals. All of those times were wind-aided. All of those times were drug-aided. You know who else caught a cramp in a championship final? Dwain Cahmbers Commonwealth games '02. Read his book he's very honest about the fact that it was the drugs that caused the cramp. Her 10.67 is not coming from out of nowhere. She's been super fast all year and super doped. She runs 10.65w (+3.3) if she doesn't catch the cramp in Eugene. She should have won in Berlin but I think she had lost to much training. Now she's back to where she was in June.
Zakiri pulled up in two consecutive Olympic finals. Drugs don't make you a good competitor. Jeter will continue to lose when it really counts.
Jeter and the Jamaicans are all clean. Nothing suspicious about her progress. Testing is way better than 25 yrs ago
when the genetically inferior (in this context) Caucasians
dominated.

You´re avoiding to comment on the picture above. she wasn`t exactly a teenager two years ago!
Agree. She might be doping.
She looks like a body double to Chryste Gaines to me....
I'm normally very resistant to the idea that athletes with big performance gains, particularly at an advanced age, must be doping. This is mainly because my own progression, were it of an elite standard, would arose plenty of suspicion (5k went 14:55->14:35->14:10 in straight seasons after turning 30). There can be legit reasons for an upturn in form such as overcoming injury, a significant change in lifestyle or simply having the perfect race.
In this case though, it's impossible to look at this as being anything other than very strange. She has just run a mind-blowingly fast time, bettered only in history by Jones, an extraordinarily gifted athlete who then doped and went to altitude, and Flo-Jo, perhaps the only athlete not caught doping who everyone agrees was guilty, and every knows she had a gale blowing behind her.
This is a truly remarkable time, better than anything managed by the likes of Arron, Ottey, Ashford or Privalova and a host of convicted dopers: Gohr, Krabbe, Koch, Block and Thanou. I've no problem accepting that such a time is possible, but it would have to be by a truly great and gifted sprinter. Jeter was no more than reasonable until 2006, and last year was only the equal of the entirely forgotten quartet of Angella Taylor-Issajenko, Mary Onyali-Omagbemi, Pauline Davis-Thompson and LaTasha Colander. This sort of improvement is simply not credible.
Ritz ran a 13:40 in high school. His improvements has been slow to come, therefore there is reason to believe he is clean. Defending Jeter is very difficult .... stop trying to make it about race.

Can someone tell me why this thread is at 50 something posts but the thread about ritz, kara goucher, symmonds and wheating got pulled after about 6 posts? Just curious why it is okay to drag certain peoples names through the mud but not others in the views of the mods.
i am 37 yo. This year, I went from 9 minute mile PR to 6 minute mile PR. With this improvement, I plan on running sub 4:20 next year by March.
With hard training and change in lifestyle and good nutrition, anything is possible with Jesus on your side.
Can I hear an Amen Hallelujah?
I'm just restoring this thread. Not sure why it got deleted but it is linked to in the week that was.

Really? You dont know why it got deleted?
Maybe you guys should have a meeting with the forum moderators to re-evaluate what gets deleted and what stays.
Letsrun.com claims to be a site where cheaters are often ousted early due to the collected intelligence of the community, and yet 99% of the time, these threads get deleted and no further discussion is allowed to be made!
Please do something about this.
It is no wonder the world has distain for our sport. We(Track and Field) have a history that is tainted and no faith for the future up and coming kids, or our current talent. We get mad when our girls run 11.02 but even mader when they run 10.67???
Perhaps she has tapped into what's needed to perform well? time will tell. I am happy in the mean time.
