One time my friend ate like thirty chicken nuggets before the mile at our county meet, it was awesome. Also Webb should eat there instead of Five Guys. |

What Rupp actually said was that he would get a good meal after the 10k, because the night before, after the race delay, Taco Bell was the only thing still open in big city Fayetteville? He probably had the healthiest thing on the menu, considering. Taco Bell will actually make custom burritos for you etc. |

He only ate at Taco Bell because by the time he finished his race, cooled down, and probably stretched and got a massage and then got on the bus, it was probably 2 AM and nothing else was open. |

The Taco Bell Grilled Stuft Burrito is the greatest post run meal designed by man! It has incredible restorative powers. Combined with a generous serving of Baja Blast Mountain Dew, he will be ready for anything. Given the late finish of the race, he may have wanted to skip all the BBMD caffiene so that he could get to sleep. I pray that he also had a Caramel Empanada. Yumm. If so, there is no end to what he can accomplish this weekend. |

He's not an idiot. He knew it would be afterhours when he got done with the meet; and he knew almost all the stores would be closed. If he cared about his health and about reaching the hallowed halls in our sport, he would've brought his own food. |

Or maybe he realized that it didn't matter what he ate, he was still going to make the rest of the 10k field look silly. He could eat 7 pounds of smoked gouda after the 5k prelim then eat nothing and only drink egg nog the day of the 10k and still win. |

I've heard tell that Rexing ate a lot of Taco Bell during his heyday, even within 90 minutes of a track race (and I mean prior to!). In trainers, of course. What Nikes was Rupp wearing when he ate Taco Bell Wed. night (Thurs. a.m.)? Wish I'd been there. Where were the FloTrack guys? |

I agree - he knew he would win, no matter what he ate. But a TRUE champion, which he is not, would think more long-term....i.e., "you know, geylen, eating all of these chicken nugget tacos isn't good for your long term body fat levels, cholesterol levels, and perhaps, blood pressure." Do you think he thought about that? I don't. That's why he'll never be a TRUE champ. |

I don't know about all that, but I will say that a chicken nugget taco sounds delicious. I think I'm going to have to go to taco bell then mickey D's and assemble my own. |
