how did a thread about kiprop being too skinny immediatly go down the path of a high school girl being too skinny. i bet if you compared the bmi's of kiprop and dunn, they would be similar. yet nobody every comments on males, especially africans, being too skinny and needing help? why is there such a differnt view on this?

boys, it's obvious why kiprop is so skinny. he probably does the same thing hansel does before a big show when he has a really really ridiculously big race coming up, and he just throws up after meals.

This fellow doesn't look all that different from Paul Tergat when you get down to it. Cheruiyot a bit better. imho, maybe I'm real wrong.

People of west african ancestry are the only humans capable of running under 9.95 in the 100, and people of east african ancestry are the only humans capable of running under 27:00 in the 10,000. Of course there may be the occasional outlier (Kennedy or maybe Motram), but by and large our athletic potential is determined at birth.

The only time I got rushed to the hospital was when I had my appendix removed. I'm white and in my running prime I was 6'2" and 136 lbs. Most of my teammates looked like that too.

Look at their arms. Kiprop looks like he eats plenty and is just thin by nature. Dunn is a walking skeleton. It's more alarming anyway because women aren't supposed to be that thin. If she doesn't already have problems, she will soon.

Dunne looked a lot healthier in cross-country season than she does now. I sincerely hope she's not headed for trouble--nobody deserves that mess.

I hate it when anorexics who think they're healthy get mad when people hint that other girls are anorexic...Kiprop (and 90% of other men his age) have a looooot more leeway when it comes to healthy body fat, because nature allows them to have about 10% less than women. If a girl looks like a really skinny man, she has a serious problem.
