Ritz is confirmed to be running the 5000m in Toronto at the Usain Bolt meet next week. Any predictions on time? Seems like an interesting 5000 shaping up with Ritz and McDougal racing.

I'll be at the CC signing copies of my book!
Dane, are you a sponser of The Cup? That race is gonna kick it and kick it good.
Keep it real peeps!
Yeah, it's interesting now that there are two B-list runners from America running. Previously there were just three sub-13 runners in the race.
Oh come on... We're talking 1 B-lister here...
McDougal barely deserves a C-list standing...

A strange field: a few sub 13 guys, Ritz at 13:16, and then some 13:20-30 guys. Coming off the London Marathon, and the several weeks rest that followed, it's hard to expect too much of Ritz. If he can get under 13:25, that will be a great start and will promise something good in the 10000 at Nationals.

13:25 = decent time for a guy in college
would i be able to get into canada from the US without a passport?? did they just change the rules for cross-country travel?
You'd need a Passport or a new form of ID called a Passport Card, which can only be used between the US and Canada. There's also a special driver's license that indicates one's citzenship.

He will not have a fast time. This will be a warmup for track season.

how long does it take to get a passport card?
Drivers L and B-Certificate together should work across the can. border. Legally the US officials cannot deny a US citizen entrance to his/her own country so you should be alright on the way back.
I love how the new cross border laws were imposed by the Bush administration and yet the other day both Bush and Clinton had no idea about the new rules. Who exactly was running the country and all kidding aside was Bush even aware about half of what was going on?
Ritz is the best runner is the US (10k and 5k)

That is funny since the college leader going into NC's is Bethke at 13:27 and change. Maybe you should consider time of year, location, and competition...but that is just crazy talk I guess.
anyone got a website link for this meet?
It should be noted that Bolt is running the 100, Merritt the 400, and Shaheen the 5000.
