It's possible.
It's possible.
No. Kaki. End.
No. Kaki. End.
Just like Last year right?
No. Just be happy with the 1500
He can get down to 1:42 later this season, giving him a shot as far as times go, but tactics, rounds and the fatigue from running the 1500 will work against him.
kiprop is not too keen on doubling at WCh after all he is aware that when time comes for kenyan trials it will be hard for him to qualify for selection in the 800M since the likes of Yego,Bungei etc will be peaking at the right time for kenyan trials. His main aim for this season to go take a shot a EL G's WR.It seems unreachable at the moment but i think he could get close in July/August.
great call, anyone good enough to make it through the kenyan trials at 8 / 15.... will have the title sown!
He wants 1500M WR wrote:

i think that goal of his is a bit out of his reach..
kiprop has yet to even run faster than 3:31, as his PB is that. when you get down to that level, running 5 seconds faster is a bit of a stretch, even when his 800 time is 1:43.
i don't think kiprop will run faster than 3:29
Now that Kaki is hurt, does he have a chance to pull a double now?
Kaki is back and ran a 2:20 1,000m.
The 800 is the hardest track final to make. Deep fields and only 8 in the final. Yes, the 100,200 and400 only have 8 but aren't nearly asdeep. Dozens more countries contend the 800. Asbel isamazing, should get his goldand try a double in 2016 when he has more experience.
Isn't that Kiprop's split when he run a 15?
If he does, I would bet hes on drugs
Yes he could
Think about it. The and WC/Olympic COmmittees plays favorites when a high profile runner tries to double. Didn't they make accomidations for El G, Ramzi, and Lagat when they tried to double? If they had the rounds for the 15 first and then the 8 afterwards, then he may have a shot. The man has run sub 1:44 twice. If Kaki was in pre-injury shape then I would say no. But I don't think anyone could beat the man in rounds or a one shot race right now unless he wasn't on his game.
Now the question is, will the AK make special accomodations for him?
A good indicator of ability when he's run 2:13....

Another guy who should try the double is Laalou of Morocco. He has run 1:43/3:31 just like Kiprop.
Kaki hasn't proven jack. He bombed in Beijing.

He's setting people up this year. He wasn't really hurt. He just didn't want to give Borzo any confidence in case Yuriy won their race a few weeks back, so he feigned injury. He'll be in 1:42 at the WC's.
And he'll bomb again.
Kiprop has the ability, but his target is the 1500. Good to see a 1500 guy with great 800 ability. Too many milers the last 15 years have ignored the 800.
any news on Kenyan trials?
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
