Who in everyone's opinions has gone on to be the most successful runner having won footlocker nationals in their past?
I guess this could also become 'who has done the worst since winning footlockers'!

Bob Kennedy
Bob Kennedy
Bob Kennedy by far. Have you ever heard of him? If you have to ask this question I guess not.
After him you have several males with national class careers, including MAtt Guisto, Ruben Reina, Mark Davis, Adam Goucher, Matt Downin, Dathan Ritzehenein, Jorge Torres.
Top female career wise would definitely be Cathy Schiro the winner from 1984.
How about Chris Solinski? Not as accomplished as Ritz, Kennedy, Davis, Goucher, etc, but he's certainly doing pretty well.
Give him another 4 or 5 years and he'll have a pretty solid resume.
didn't Meb win Footlocker?
Meb did not.
Ceci Hopp (St. Geme) was another successful female winner. In general, not as many of the females had the bright futures that the males did.
Yes definitely Solinsky belongs in that group.
Sarah Bei (Hall) has had a pretty good career. Definitely one of the top female careers from the group.
Um... ever heard of Jordan Hasay?
Did Todd Williams win Kinney?

The ASU coach has had a pretty successful running(ish) career (if you count coaching)
AJ Acosta.

No, he does not.
For both genders I'd say:
1. Bob Kennedy
2. Cici St. Geme
3. Goucher or Ritz... depends on how much Ritz develops in the marathon and if Goucher can break 14 ever again.
Among the boys there are 6-7 who went on to make Olympic teams: Guisto, Davis, Kennedy, Goucher, Torres, Ritz, and I think Reina. None of the girls did that; and did St. Geme ever win an NCAA or US championship? She did probably have the most successful career of the former girls' champions.
