No, the Coliseum is in the middle of LA. Carson is in fact in the middle of nowhere.

The meet was way overpriced and not marketed well at all. $15 for parking is an absolute joke. The meet looked like a high school dual meet. Pretty pathetic.

That is ridiculous. Parking should be either free of $5. Tickets should be between $10 and $20.

The soccer and tennis stadium are world class and the track stadium uses the same parking lot. The locals just park on Victoria Street or creep into the CSU Dominguzez Hills parking lot. Since most T&F fans used to be able to perform amazing feats on the field and track when they was coming up a little walking ain't nothing.

Considering the dozens of Gold Medalists from Beijing that competed at the meet, the parking and ticket prices were a dirt cheap bargain. There is no meet in the world that paid that many WC and Oly medalist to actually suit up and run w/o feining a false start or DNFing after one lap. Adidas was the most spectacular meet that I have ever seen in a 2-hour timeframe. I'll be back next year.

If the Home Depot Center is like most sports facilities, then parking is set by the facility owners, so nothing the organizers (who rent the track) can do about that. And if you looked at the website, you would have seen that $10-$25 would have gotten you a seat anywhere except for right infront of the finish line.

And my guess is, if you do the math, at those prices a sell-out still loses money.
