My Goal Sub-15 5k I won't stop until I reach it....Advice?

I am a fairly decent runner...I ran collegiately and have been running since graduating. I feel as though I have not reached my full capabilites...one of those being sub 15 in the 5k. And I won't stop until I reach my goal. I'm not really sure what my PR is I ran in the 15:50s off barely any training a year ago and 2 years ago I ran 16:05 in the mud which I guess converted would be 15:40? The week leading up to that race I did 5xMile with 3:30 rest in 5:09,5:00,4:53,4:42,4:37 so I'm not sure.

Letsrun.com can you please provide some advice on what I need to do to run this time?

You're one of those guys when someone asks you what you run, and you say, "Low 15s". Your pr is the fastest time you've ever run. It sounds like it is that 16:05. No, its not a 15:40s. It is a 16:05. If you really did run in the "15:50s" then breaking 16 would have been a big deal and you would know what you ran. What was that, a 16:32 on a day that it was snowing? Thats worth 15:50s, right?

Alright if you really want to know my PR it's 15:59.42. I didn't initally say it because it is an embarrassingly slow time.

Know that we have established that how do I break 15?

And I know some people will say I need to worry about breaking 15:50 first or 15:30...but I haven't run a 5k in about a year and the shortest distance I ran since that 5k is a 20k in 68 min with the last 10k in 33:05. So hopefully that reassures you that I am obviously capable of attaining such a time.

Dude you people need to chill, this kid is obviously trying to ask for advice and is sincere about his goals. We don't need people like you tearing down the eddylees of the world who have goals and ambitions and chase them, unlike yourself who is probably sitting on the couch watching TV eating Cheetos or something.

Because it's not that fast or at least I don't think it is.

I'm not sure how to respond to that mid 17s comment...I'll just ignore it considering I tempo at 515-525 pace

I went from a PR of 16:28 in cross my senior year of high school to 15:01 spring of my freshman year of college. Its doable, but you have to work hard.
