Not a bad mark, but she is certainly capable of better... she did run 4:05 after all and was in Beijing. Seems like she hasn't done well this year in general. Will she make it to the WC this year?

Three words, IT'S F***ING MAY!
Seriously, all this Twellmania gets tedious. How come we never hear much about the one and only Lisa Dobriskey! When is she opening her season already?
British people need to stop putting pressure on steph twell.4.11 in a race won in 4.06 is okey.there was alot of shoving and jostling.
Who will win an 3000m between the two european girls on the 3000m? The steeple and longdistace Karoline Grovdal

or Mid distance Twell?
How is the Americans compare to this two?
Twellmania is better than Hasaymania.
or at least more justified.

what about abarba mania she got third in todays 1500 in 4:08 beating twell, melkamu, jepkpkosgei and more. abraba from sudan is only age 17
Is there some way to verify the age?
And obviously there will be Hasaymania, this is a mainly American board... therefore people on here and other American track sites will be more excited about Hasay.
And also Hasay is a few years younger than Twell and their PRs were very close when they were the same age.
well she only finished one spot behind the olympic champ...
She started in the rear. Then, she runs on lane two and three for half of the race. To make things worse, she had this big surge with ~550m to go but...on lane 2 or 3. By the time she hit the bell lap she looked spent.
Steph, you need to be near the front and make the others go around you. After your crying incident at World XC, I hope the confidence hasn't been shattered...
She wasn't the best performing female British athlete in the 1500m this weekend. That honour goes to Nikki Hamblin who won the 1500 at Osaka.

I believe Nikki Hamblin lives in New Zealand these days. Does anyone know if Nikki is transfering to NZL or will she continue to run for GBR?
These are the standards. In the UK to be certain she needs to get the A standard 4:06

Twell has just run a useful 5km as well.
Has a good chance to make the team but expect a few others to be in the mix as well

I didn't think she looked spent, I just think she was a bit one paced when they kicked at the bell.
Although I don't think she's a 1500m runner.
I agree that she will likely be better at 5000m. Her 800m PR is only 2.06. Unless that gets to 2.00 or below, then 2012 will be her last (if she makes it) Olympics at 1500m. She'll only be 23 then, and if she can get close 4.00 by then, it will help her in top class 5000's - which she isn't (as World XC showed) ready for as yet.
But Stephanie Twell don't run no 800.
Nikki Hamblin has applied for NZ Citizenship and the word in NZ is that it will be approved very shortly. She would be eligable to run for New Zealand at World Champs this year.
15:18.47
Top 10 in the world.
Still overrated?

Yes. She needs to leave England and come to the U.S. and train with Alan Webb under the watchful eye of Rackzo.
15:18 is a good mark, but it won't be top 10 in the world for long. Let's not kid ourselves
