No. He said he could in that BBC Q&A thing. He would be lucky to get 52.
I doubt he could do it right now. If he trained for a few months, I wouldn't be surprised if he could run 47.
You must be talking about this one?

Michael Johnson: "But if I went out right now, I'd run about 48 seconds for the 400m."
But the real question must be... if Michael Johnson and Kenenisa Bekele raced over 400m, who would cross the line first?
What could he run in an 800?

No. Even if he was juiced to the gills like he was in his prime, it's doubtful.
God I hate that asshole. Biggest asshole in track history.
If he's still on the juice yes
If he's off it now no

People age differently. I raced a masters runner about two years ago who is a national class masters 400 runner. he was running 51.xx at 43 (he's now 65) but in his prime he was 49.5 at best. Age affects each person differently. MJ could run, if he had any desire to train again, around 47. This is only true if his body isnt suffering the effects of arthritis yet.
Johnson was a big drugged up PR*K
Michael Johnson could break 48 and is one of the few who was not lanced during those days and won medals. I think most of the distance medals for sure were by lanced athletes. Most throwers were definitely dirty dopers too.
I doubt that Michael could break 48 himself right now, but I'm confident that he could hire someone to do it for him.
Why would he even care to try? He's retired. He's an Olympic champ. What's to gain from coming out of retirement?
