Orioles magic in 2009 ?
Can a opening day win over the dreaded enemy be a peek into the rest of the season ?
One can hope. Go O's !!!

uuuummmm.... ever heard of the Toronto Blue Jayzz
Yes! O's all the way in '09!
26 years is long enough!
more like the Pittsburgh pirates start the march to the world series, ma f***a
After robbing Seattle with the Bedard trade, the O's have some nice talent ... but WS? A little early to be hitting the sauce OMBTS.
I actually read that the Kansas City Royals were favorites to win their division. Could that actually be possible?
OMBTS lives in the Carolinas, not sure why he is an Orioles fan...perhaps he needs to switch to the Atlanta Braves.
O's in 1st place, hon. Boog's BBQ tasted extra good yesterday!
They have a nice lineup, play good defense and have a solid bullpen. However, Guthrie needs to win every start in order for them to have a chance because their starting rotation is awful--terrible.

Thank you Orioles....thank you. Love to see the mighty Skankees and all that money go to waste. Nice debut CC!
I got even better in the bottom of the 8th when the Stanks couldn't get one out. Johnny D started crying after the game over the fan that caught the homerun.
Where's Earl Weaver? That guy usually starts this thread every april. Oh well, go O's, this is the only time this year we will be in first place. I'll drink to that.
Any team that beats the Yankees is my second favorite team. Go Orioles!
OMBTS used to live in Maryland.
I am a lifelong Phillies fan. They didn't look so good opening day but I am still hoping for a repeat performances. I am not greedy, though, and can live off of last year's performance for a number of years to come.
Great points Walter. I hope the starters can surprise us. I love the outfield. We have to hope Huff has a great year and is valuable as trade bait next year. For the time being I am excited about this year and think McPhail finally has the house in order.

I hate the Yankees too, but let's not forget that CC sucked last year in April and May before he got it going and finished 16-6 in his last 22 starts. It's a little early to say he's not worth the $.
What would you guys guess C.C.'s weight is ?
Yesterday I thought he looked huge, his uniform looked like some old PJs or something.

When I looked at the box score yesterday after the game, his weight caught my eye. He was listed close to 300. I thought it was an error, then I saw him on sportscenter, and no it was not a typo.

YOU'RE DAMN RIGHT!
It's been 30 years since We Are Fam-i-lee!
I see the O's winning 85+ games this year...too bad that will only be good enough for 4th place at best. But crushing the Yanks on opening day was nice. Go O's!!!!
