Has anyone had anything like this? I'm a 23-year old college distance runner, got deep pain in my right hip 3 weeks ago, pain came on during a saturday run and had to cut short on Sunday because it hurt a lot even to stand on. Since then, I have taken 3 weeks off, done some biking, seen a physio, doctor and pt, none of whom could diagnose. (The mri came out normal, apparently some slight joint space narrowing at head of femur but nothing severe enough to explain the pain). 3 weeks later, i tried a run, and i still feel pain along the front of the hip, kind of like hip flexor/ inner thigh. It used to hurt A LOT just to stand and walk on, wouldn't hurt so much when the pt would resist my single leg raise, but would hurt a lot when he released it. Likewise, it wouldn;t hurt to put weight on it as such, but just when i took weight off it it hurt. The quadron test where the pt pushes knee in and foot out hurt a lot, as did externally rotating leg while on the table. It hurt like a mofo to hop on it in the beginning.
If anyone could shed some light on what you think it might be, please throw it out there, because most of the favourites have been ruled out by the mri.
Many thanks.
