Usually I don't turn to Letsrun for medical information but I am desperate and I feel that the running community might be able to offer some good incite into the situation.
Symptoms:
I am in my mid twenties, 5 months ago I was training (about 80 miles/week) got a little cold, tried to run through it and since then have been short of breath. It is very mild, and non-episodic (its there constantly), it feels like I have to take deep breaths more frequently. Recently I have also been experiencing some chest tightness - particularly on the left side. I don't cough, or have a runny nose or any other cold-like symptoms.
Here are all the tests that have come back negative:
pulmunologist - pulmonary function test (negative for asthma and all the other stuff you find with a pft), bronchoscopy (negative for cancer cells, virus, fungus, bacteria), CAT scan
cardiologist - echocardiagram (negative for enlarged heart and any structural abnormality, stress test, nuclear stress test, and that 24 hour ekg thing.
allergist - normal sinuses and Im getting testing for allergies in about a week.
Anyone experience anything like this? Any help is appreciated.
