Best album? I only have Yoshimi, but love it. Which other CD of theirs should I get?

Ditto that. Rather than a CD, I'd suggest getting individual tracks that you like.
Yoshimi is the best one
you cant beat lyrics like "but she wont let those robots eat me"
Soft Bulletin has always been my favorite

How do you know which individual tracks will end up growing on you over time? Besides, some music is better when listened to as a whole album. Yoshimi is a good example of that.
i'm a fan of "spongebob and patrick confront the psychic wall of energy."
good song
I like "The W.A.N.D."
I love The Soft Bulletin. Listen to it as a whole.
my personal favorite is transmissions from the satellite heart.
yoshimi and the soft bulletin are my two favorites.
has anyone bought zaireeka (sp?) and used all four discs in four seperate boom boxes as per the albums intention?
The Flaming Lips are best heard in high resolution 5.1 surround in the DVD-Audio format. Several of their CDs come in the CD/DVD-A twin disc packaging, including Yoshimi, Mystics and Soft Bulletin. Get them while you can and make sure you have a DVD player that can decode DVD-A.
Are you talking about the interaction between Geoff Thurner as Jason Vag?

The Soft Bulletin.
Sweet JESUS I hope you're kidding. Anyone who just listens to specific tracks is shortchanging the experience. The Soft Bulletin is probably my favorite, but there is something about At War with the Mystics that seems more mature and developed. It took me longer to appreciate the SB and Yoshimi, but I enjoy it a lot now.BTW, if you ever get a chance to see them live, they put on the best show I've ever seen. My gf went with me and she hates the FL, and she loved the concert.

Maybe something is wrong with me, but I preferred Soft Bulletin and Yoshimi much more than At War... I don't know why, At War just seemed to forced or something, it just wasn't as refreshing.
I will tell you, when Soft Bulletin came out, that was some really good stuff. Still is...
Never buy single tracks, I don't know what is wrong with you people. You are like a bunch of little teeny-bopper girls making mixed tapes.
Grow a pair and learn how to listen to music.
i bought yoshimi a little while ago and itunes won't let me import it. is it copy-protected? and, if so, how can i get itunes to let me import it. i really just want to be able to put it on my ipod. any suggestions or similar problems?
"Yoshimi has to dicipline her body,
She's taking lots of vitamins.
She has to be strong."
sounds like an athlete.
Flaming Lips beat the hell out of My Morning Jacket, who copied their sound.
While you're there, why don't you go ahead and buy some canvass sneakers, skinny jeans, a striped tee shirt and a scarf, hipster
soft bulletin
